Their concert tours on cruise ship around the Mediterranean Sea during the 70s greatly contributed to their unquestionable success story, when they met the greatest soloists of the age. The friendship of these world-famous artists opened the way for them to the international concert stage to play with celebrities like Maurice André, Mstyislav Rostropovich, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Isaac Stern. The soloist of their concert, Jenő Jandó is one of the most outstanding pianists of the Classical piano repertoire. As the experienced interpreter of Liszt’s and Bartók’s works the renowned pianist will take us to more peaceful waters with the performance of Haydn’s cheerful and optimistic Piano concert in D Major. The popularity of Mozart’s „Great” Symphony in G Minor is not only demonstrated by the number of performances it has seen, but it is also know in many different arrangement and 200 years after its birth its melody is even used as a ring-tone by the children of our modern age! The Schubert composition will close the concert, which is perhaps the most joyful, careless of all his works, promising a light summer evening entertainment.
