A really nice story, the friendship of two genius father-sons towards the end of a century crowded with geniuses. Of course, the Salieri affair was more “dramatic,” but this friendship is immeasurably more interesting than that: two perfectly different worlds, unmistakable, and both in their own way inimitable.
