Mit jelent nekünk József Attila? Ismerjük az életét. Van kedvenc versünk tőle. Életszakaszainkban újra- és újraértelmezzük sorait. De ritkán gondolkozunk el azon, hogy milyen pusztító szenvedély és szeretni vágyás élt benne. „József Attila az őrület erejével, egy-egy szavával néha mélyebbre nyúlt, mint bárki más előtte” – írja róla naplójában Márai Sándor. Ebből a mélységből merít Vecsei H. Miklós, innen próbálja megmutatni a költő életútját, szerelmeit és versrészleteit.
A darab 2018 óta fut a Vígszínház repertoárján, amelynek utaztatható verziójában a Platon Karataev frontembere, Balla Gergely is szerepel.
