Our performance Mirad, a boy from Bosnia is a family story of trauma processing with a Balkan mentality and music. An honest and harrowing story of two young adults whose lives and relationships were completely rewritten by war and a young boy who lost his home, identity and future between two battlefields, while fleeing. For just over an hour, viewers become friends of the Balic family, learn about their history, their traditions and their life's journey, and gain an insight into their life in Sarajevo.
Iván Fischer was requested by the Berlin Konzerthaus to compose an opera for children based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s world-famous picture book, The Gruffalo. The humorous opera now premieres in Hungary in translation by Ádám Nádasdy. The production is recommended for children between the ages of 3 and 10.
