An Evening of Music with András Kern
Te majd kézenfogsz… (You'll Take Me by the Hand...)

In addition to Kern's legendary prosaic theatrical roles, the Kossuth Prize-winning actor's name is also linked with many songs that have become classic hits. Not only has he acted alongside Judit Hernádi, they have also sung together on several occasions, and even released an album together, Kernádi. On this evening, the highly popular actress will perform both solos and duets. Gábor Heilig has served as the music director for each of Kern's albums, and has also written the lyrics and music for several songs. At tonight's concert, too, Heilig will be fulfill the roles of music producer, bandleader, guitarist, and, of course, singer. Kern has performed many times alongside Barbara Hegyi at the Comedy Theatre of Budapest. They have collaborated in several plays, the most memorable being Play It Again Sam!, which is still performed at the theatre today. József Wunderlich is known as not just a superb actor, but also as an extraordinary singer and musician. In addition, he is a member of the Comedy Theatre of Budapest, and as well as being one of András Kern's colleagues, he also has an excellent personal relationship with the other two artists. Iván Gátos's group of outstanding musicians will accompany the songs with an expanded line-up. The outstanding artists, superb stories and wry humour found in both song and prose guarantee this will be a successful evening, as the audience enjoys the fulfilment of a long-standing wish with this special concert.

For almost a quarter of a century, the Festival Orchestra’s program series for children has brought a high-quality classical musical experience to the youngest. The orchestra’s rehearsal room not only serves experimenting with the tiniest details of the symphonic pieces to be performed or playing chamber music, but also as the venue for educating the next generation of classical music lovers.
