Krisztina Tóth: The Girl Who Didn't Speak
The puppet stage version of Krisztina Tóth's moving fairy tale, which reimagines folktale elements, invites its viewers on an inner journey -
and invites you to think: who am I, how did I come to this world, and where am I going?
The protagonist of the story The Girl Who Didn't Speak is a girl born in a turtle, a child abandoned by her parents. What will become of this child? Does anyone love her as her father, mother, brother? Will she see her in-laws again, who left her alone? Will her loneliness, sorrow and anger be resolved? Will she make peace with the world and herself? And will she ever find a home?
